My GL courses
At the beginning of the Global Learning experience, I was focus on learning Mandarin. Then, I realized that every language is link with the culture of the country of origin. For that reason, I decided to expand my knowledge and explore other areas related with the Asian Culture.
This experience created a strong sense of global perspective. Now, I have the capacity of create a positive communication bridge between cultures because I could handle knowledge of language, history, culture, political relations, and economic relations. Also, I could have a good idea of the new challenges on international relations between Asia and the world.
The FIU program in Asian Studies gave me an strong understanding of what is Asia and its role in the new global order.
Moreover, I am convinced that professional in this area could help to create a better world, because we could handle an effective and respectful communication.
